Blepharoplasty surgery is performed to remove excess loose skin, bulging muscle, and fatty tissue around the eyes (above, below or both). The amount of these tissues removed is important in leaving an attractive appearance; excess removal can be detrimental to appearance plus eyelid function. This can have an amazingly rejuvenating effect on the entire face.
